History:
Jesse was always abused as a boy, his dad would beat him for any little thing he did wrong. If he got a B in school, his dad would yell at him and beat him to make him get an A the next grading period or he’d never live to see the end of the school year. Every time it happened, Jesse would try to go to a different place in his mind to forget it was happening but his dad wouldn’t let him. And because his dad would yell at him since he could remember, he developed a stutter. Every time he talked to or about his dad, it would come and betray him. He had started going to a therapist since it started and he was getting better at it but, there are some words still that he needs help with. He knows people make fun of him for it. He now fears he’ll never find someone to love him for how he is and can see past his stutter. Ever since he got the guts to leave that abusive house and town, Jesse swore to himself he’d never be like that if and when he has kids. He swore he’d never go back, to stay as far away from it as possible. He moved from school to school because he’d get teased and bullied. Girls would laugh at him because it looked like he had some sort of skin condition. When he least expected it, Jesse’s arm hair would change from brown to orange and black, his face would sort of change as well. He wasn’t used to controlling his power then. Everyone would call him names and try to anger him to see what would happen. One day, Jesse got fed up and ran out of school, to the place he was living at the time. An abandoned warehouse. He never went back to that school, he moved to this new school hoping things would be different. Where he read about it said it was a school for ‘special’ kids and that everyone was welcome. So he thought he’d give it a try and hopefully like it here. This is and was the last place he could go to for solitude. For closure.
