"Yeah, I like the mystery and murder books. I get more int those than with any other" Ben told her. "What kind of books are you into?" He asked as he kept looking. One earphone in, opposite to the side she was on. He didn't want to seem rude so he kept one out so he could hear her.

As Lauren walked past a few shelves she bent down and sat on the floor, cross-legged and started to flip a few books near the ground. "I don't really have a certain genre I choose more of, I like all kinds but if I were to choose, romance definitely." she smirked and read the back of the book Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin.

"I should have guessed. Most girls always go for the romantic stuff" Ben said as he sat next to her. "What book is that?" he asked looking at the title. "Never heard of it, or even read it" he shrugged, "But hey, I'm always up for new things to read"

Lauren shrugged "Not all girls" she chuckled and showed him the cover "It says it's about some sort of backstabbing relationship where a girl's bestfriend starts falling for her fiance" She stood and put the book under her arm taking a step to him.

"Now that sounds like a good book. Only because that sort of happened to me before, minus the fiance part" Ben told her. He walked over to the counter and checked the book out. Two girls that had their eyes on him went up to him and started to flirt with him. Ben of course, didn't really say or do anything. He wasn't one to lead a person on.

Lauren tucked her lips again "Oh I'm sorry I didn't want to bring it up" she said and took the book into her left hand. She waited on the checkout line, a bit short and noticed two girls flirting with Benjamin "Filthy rats." she said snapping a breath to herself. She glanced over at Ben hoping he would look at her, giving him a gesture if he wanted to help him get them off his back.

"It's fine. Not like I care about it any more" Ben told her as the girls tried to take his attention away from her. He rose a brow and looked at her. He never liked when people tried to get someone else's attention. But oh well. "Um, excuse me I don't mean to seem rude but I really need to go" he told them. "No, stay here. We'll keep you company, especially better than her" they said looking at Lauren.

Lauren swiped her card and scanned the book and looked back up at the girls and Benjamin. She finally walked up to the girls after she was done and looked at them "How rude. You guys don't have anything better to do then hit on guys who obviously don't want to be around you? Ever heard of getting a hobby, sounds like something you two should try." she said at them rather calm, surprisingly controlling her anger at the rude girls.

The girls smirked, "You need to learn how to mind your own business" one said. "Can't you see when you're not wanted? We don't want you here and surely he doesn't want you here" Ben cleared his throat and looked at the girls, "That's a understatement, only you two don't want her here" he butted in.

Licking her lips to their ridiculous remarks all Lauren really wanted to do was to beat a girl and teach her back to sense. Not because she was jealous, but only because of those type of bratty girls angered her. Lauren did hold her back and tried to keep her words at thought. When Benjamin jumped in with what he said all Lauren did was let out a grin. "Well would you look at that couldn't have said it any better." she winked at them almost mocking them.

The girls rolled their eyes, "If you change your mind, here's my number, call me" she smiled at him as she and her friend left. "Will do" Ben called after her. Once the girls were out of the building, he ripped the paper and threw it away, "Not" he mumbled.

Shaking her head to herself Lauren wrapped her book around her arms and watched the girls leave. 'Does this always happen to you?" she asked snickering quietly.

"No" Ben said. "Never happens at all. I don't see why it's starting now" he shook his head and sighed. "I already don't like those girls" he added as he held his book his hand. "Not really worth giving those girls attention, I saw them do the same thing with someone else a few minutes ago"

Lauren put one hand into her pocket as the other held onto the small book. "Hmm I see. I try and stay away from them." she mumbled to herself and shrugged as she looked at Benjamin slowly walking out the doors.

"I try to stay away from people in general" Ben said as he followed. "Where are you headed now?" he asked. He looked around and saw a lot of people in groups and shook his head and focused on her again. "So, do you have any powers?"
