Nic kissed her back and smiled. "I love you" he said.
Dove sighed, "I don't understand why people are like that" she said.

Sandz blushed lightly, grinning bashfully over at her.
Jaden giggled. "I love you more..." she whispered. Something moved in the sand.
Reider shook his head. "Corruption...i don't know."

Val helped him get his balance and smiled. Actually smiled. She realized it but pushed the thought away.
Nic thought he saw something in the sand move and grabbed the kids. "Did you see that?" he asked, not wanting to seem crazy.
"It's possible" Dove said. "Or they can be brainwashed or something" she added knowing that sounded stupid.

Sandz looked at her, seeing the smile, he smiled lightly, but then looked away. "Thanks." he said, clearing his throat after a minute.
Jaden was turned in a different direction, she turned and watched the spot where Nic stared. "No...what happened?" she asked.
"Not the Council, they all signed up for that..." he said thoughtfully.

"No problem" Val said and walked again. She tried to not think of anything that had to deal with him. She tried to think of maybe getting a dog or a cat.
"I thought I saw something move. Maybe it was just my imagination" Nic said and shook his head.
"Why? Do they kill for pleasure?" Dove asked, looking at him now.

(T really wants to know what the site is. Humph. And she said to never talk to her again.)Sandz walked, feeling awkward in the silence. They passed far from the beach. He could see the two specks that were Jaden and Nic.
"Hm..." Jaden said, watching for another moment. She turned back around, holding Kiki.
"They kill to cause fear. With fear, they hope eventually no one will defy them." he responded, sighing.

"Anything?" Nic asked as he held Roberto.
"But why should they do that?" Dove asked. "Why can't they just leave the people alone?"

Nic sighed, "It might just be my imagination then" he said and played with the kids.

"A carnival started some time ago. We can go if you'd like. There might be a few humans, so we'd have to be careful though."
"Maybe..." Jaden said, laughing as Kiki crawled and splashed the water. She followed Kiki.

"Uh...Sure" Val said. She always loved carnivals except for when there was a full moon out to which, she hoped wouldn't be tonight.
"Be careful Kiki" Nic said as he played with Roberto.
Dove looked around, "Think we could go to the library? I need to return a book" she said.

"More walking?" Val said. "Damn it" she didn't like walking only because she didn't have the right shoes on.
Nic took a few pictures with a smile. "I'm so showing them these when they're older" he said.
Dove dusted herself off and started to walk towards the library.

"Let's hope they don't think they're TOO cute as teens" Nic said. "I don't want them getting involved with the wrong people."
As soon as they got there, Dove headed in and returned her book. Then looked for a new one to read.
